WOOD WOULD
WOODWORKER
about
I am a skilled woodworker and with a unique blend of Indo-Japanese aesthetics. After graduating from design school, I received training from both Japanese Master Mr. Kenji Matsumoto and Indian Master Mr. Vivek. Over a decade's practice has allowed me to perfect my skills in fine carpentry. My products and furniture are a testament to my expertise in traditional joinery, and I also have experience teaching design and woodworking to students. I am constantly pushing the boundaries of my craft and experimenting with other materials in addition to wood. You can trust that my passion and skill in design as well as craft will be evident in every piece I create.

dolls
Living in Ladakh for long, I learnt that Ladakh lacks enough authentic souvenirs. Very rarely will you find an authentic souvenir in the market. This was the germination of an idea to turn local willow twigs on a lathe and hand paint them. Dolls are inspired from the famous traditional Ladakhi mask dance form called 'Cham'. Big eyes and vivid colours give these dolls their distinct features. Best part is- each dolls is one of a kind!
